Hannah Martin (She/Her)
Co-President
Hannah is a fourth year UBC medical student at the VFMP campus. She is passionate about women's health and discussing how the social determinants of health and intersectionality affect health and wellness. In her spare time she enjoys boxing, playing pickleball and learning to salsa dance.

Jasmine Memar Vaghri (She/Her)
Co-President
Jasmine is a fourth-year medical student at UBC VFMP and Co-President of CWI. In her fourth year with CWI, she is passionate about promoting women’s health equity and empowering underserved women to take control of their health through education and advocacy. Jasmine looks forward to leading a team of inspiring women to create impactful programming and foster meaningful community connections. Outside of medicine, she enjoys gardening, baking, hot yoga, and playing with her cat, Salem.

Drue Julien (She/Her)
Director of Communication
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Drue moved to Kelowna after graduation to complete her B.Sc. in Medical and Molecular Biochemistry at UBCO. Following this she moved to Vancouver to complete her Medical degree in the VFMP program. When not studying you can find Drue long distance running, skiing, or enjoying the hikes around Vancouver.

Arshdeep Waring (She/Her)
Director of Awareness & Infographics
Arshdeep is a third-year medical student at the UBC VFMP campus. She is passionate about advocating for women's health equity and is looking forward to working with the CWI team in promoting women's empowerment. Outside of her studies, Arsh loves running, baking and being active.

Sarah Zhao (She/Her)
Co-Director of Education
Sarah is a third-year medical student at UBC VFMP campus. As a firm believer in lifelong learning, she is inspired by CWI's mission of empowering women through education. Sarah is grateful for the opportunity to work with the amazing CWI team in advocating for education, equity, and health for all women. Outside of her academic endeavours, Sarah enjoys reading, playing violin, baking, and cafe-hopping!

Thunuvi Waliwitiya (She/Her)
Co-Director of Education
Thunuvi is a third-year medical student at the UBC VFMP campus. She is passionate about women's health and empowerment through education. She is excited to work alongside local organizations to help promote women's health equity. When she is not studying you can find her painting, snuggling with her two cats, bouldering, and hiking.

Sandra Wong (She/Her)
Co-Director of Education
Sandra is a second-year medical student at UBC VFMP with a background as a preschool teacher and personal trainer. Having lived in both England and Halifax, she brings a unique perspective shaped by diverse experiences. Outside of medicine, she enjoys playing soccer, spinning, painting, and all things food—both cooking and eating. Sandra is passionate about building meaningful connections and is excited to grow within the CWI community this year.

Nav Kaur
Co-Director of Education
Nav grew up in BC and completed her degree in Health Sciences. She is now a medical student at UBC. She is passionate about health equity, lifestyle medicine, and mental health. When she is not working or studying, you will probably find her experimenting with new recipes, playing tennis, or taking her cat for walks.

Michelle Mazur (She/Her)
Co-Director of Fundraising
Michelle is a third year medical student at the University of British Colmbia studying in Victoria. She is thrilled to be partnering with CWI again this year and looks forward to continuing to support women through a variety of exciting and meaningful initiatives. Outside the hospital, you can find her reading a book on the beach, organizing impromptu picnics with friends at Butchart gardens, or watching (and re-watching) some of her favorite movies.

Sanjivani Chandok (She/Her)
Co-Director of Fundraising
Sanjivani is a second-year medical student at UBC VFMP. She has a previous background in Biological Sciences and outside of medicine enjoys teaching Tae Kwon Do, playing tennis, working out, reading, and drawing occasionally. Travelling has always been a great interest for her as she is grateful to have explored over 20 countries and appreciates learning about diverse cultures. Sanjivani is looking forward to continue raising awareness about women’s health and learning about ways to foster community building with CWI!

Niki Sadat Afjeh (She/Her)
Co-Director of Fundraising
Niki is a second-year medical student at UBC VFMP and will be serving on the executive fundraising team. With a cultural background that fuels her passion for women’s health, she has been deeply committed to health equity initiatives that amplify marginalized voices. Her advocacy has been shaped by lived experiences and a strong desire to support accessible, inclusive care. Outside of medical school, Niki enjoys cooking and baking, running a food photography page, and spending time at the beach. In her second year with CWI, Niki is excited to work alongside a passionate team to help strengthen initiatives that empower women and build a supportive, inclusive community.

Stephanie is a second year medical student in the UBC VFMP program. She is passionate about women’s health and community service and is excited to contribute to CWI this year as club treasurer!
