Hannah Martin (She/Her)
Co-President
Hannah is a third year UBC medical student at the VFMP campus. She is passionate about women's health and discussing how the social determinants of health and intersectionality affect health and wellness. In her spare time she enjoys boxing, playing pickleball and learning to salsa dance.

Jasmine Memar Vaghri (She/Her)
Co-President
Jasmine is a third-year medical student at UBC VFMP and serves as the Co-President. With previous experience as the Director of Education, she is dedicated to promoting women’s health equity and empowerment. Beyond her studies, she enjoys gardening, baking, and spending time with loved ones. For her third year with CWI, Jasmine is excited to lead and collaborate with a new team of inspiring women to create impactful programs and foster a supportive community.

Drue Julien (She/Her)
Director of Communication
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Drue moved to Kelowna after graduation to complete her B.Sc. in Medical and Molecular Biochemistry at UBCO. Following this she moved to Vancouver to complete her Medical degree in the VFMP program. When not studying you can find Drue long distance running, skiing, or enjoying the hikes around Vancouver.

Arshdeep Waring (She/Her)
Director of Awareness & Infographics
Arshdeep is a second-year medical student at the UBC VFMP campus. She is passionate about advocating for women's health equity and is looking forward to working with the CWI team in promoting women's empowerment. Outside of her studies, Arsh loves running, baking and being active.

Sarah Zhao (She/Her)
Co-Director of Education
Sarah is a second year medical student at UBC VFMP campus. As a firm believer in lifelong learning, she is inspired by CWI's mission of empowering women through education. Sarah is grateful for the opportunity to work with the amazing CWI team in advocating for education, equity, and health for all women. Outside of her academic endeavours, Sarah enjoys reading, playing violin, baking, and cafe-hopping!

Thunuvi Waliwitiya (She/Her)
Co-Director of Education
Thunuvi is a second year medical student at the UBC VFMP campus. She is passionate about women's health and empowerment through education. She is excited to work alongside local organizations to help promote women's health equity. When she is not studying you can find her painting, snuggling with her two cats, bouldering, and hiking.

Kimia Ziafat (She/Her)
Co-Director of Education
Kimia is a medical student studying at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Fraser campus. She is passionate about women's health and empowering women in her community. In her free time, Kimia enjoys dancing, spending time with family and friends, spoiling her little dog, and watching Modern Family on repeat.

Sydney Landrie (She/Her)
Co-Director of Fundraising
Sydney is a second year medical student at UBC VFMP. She is Cree and Métis on her father's side and mixed white settler on her mother's, and a member of the Métis Nation of British Columbia. She is passionate about the health and well-being of women and women-aligned folks, as well as Indigenous health and equity, and plans on being a strong advocate throughout her career. In her free time, she enjoys reading, beading, and gardening! She's looking forward to working with the incredible CWI team :)

Sara Niyyati (She/Her)
Co-Director of Fundraising
Sara is a second-year medical student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She is passionate about advocating for and promoting women's health through education. In her spare time, Sara enjoys knitting, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her cat, Clover.

Michelle Mazur (She/Her)
Co-Director of Fundraising
Michelle is a second year medical student studying with the University of British Columbia in Victoria. She is a big believer in creating opportunities for individuals to gain the tools they need to advocate for themselves, and she is grateful for the ability to partner with CWI in their mission to empower women with equality, opportunity, and safety. When the school day is done you can find her discovering new books to read, exploring the island, or trying something new!
